Dog Walking

We provide a unique dog walking service.

Our walks are likely different to what you’re used to seeing on social media. Here at Ruff Walks we aim to provide a relaxing environment whilst also mentally stimulating your dog. All of our walks are on lead and there can be up to 4-6 dogs in a pack. Each dog is taught how to socialise with others and to walk to heel with their handler. No need to panic if your dog is a puller and even has reactivity issues, we will work through it.

Each walk lasts 1 hour but your dog could be out for up to 2-3 hours depending on the order of the pick up and drop offs. We have a 2 walks per week minimum in place. This is to ensure that the dogs benefit from the loose lead walking training and pack integration, consistency is key.

We provide a unique dog walking service.

Each dog will initially complete 3 solo/integration walks.

The first walk

This walk is a 1:1 with one of our experienced team members, this is where we will assess your dog and complete some loose lead walking training.

The second walk

This walk is when we will do our best to introduce your dog to one of our more neutral client dogs or even our own resident dogs Fara and Coffee. On this walk the handler will focus on finding out if your dog is struggling with any reactivity and if so how to best move forward to reduce this for them. Your dog will also learn how to walk to heel when another dog is present.

The third walk

Finally on this walk they will be slowly introduced to their new pack, on this walk your dog will hopefully learn to walk side by side with another dog. They are always introduced on a 1:1 basis before bringing 3,4,5 or all 6 out at once. If your dog is comfortable we will then gradually add more and more dogs, with the end goal to be completing a 10-15minute pack walk.

After 3 solos have been completed your dog will now be a part of pack walks.

Prices are as follows:

Solo walks: £20/walk – 45mins

Pack walks: £15/walk – 45mins

Each dog will initially complete 3 solo/integration walks.

What if my dog is reactive and isn't suitable?

Don’t panic if your dog is dog aggressive, it is very odd that we aren’t able to integrate dogs. Our team are constantly training to further educate themselves and we will always put your dogs needs first. If we do think its unsafe for your dog to be integrated we will recommend you complete some 1:1 training with one of our trainers or possibly even refer you to another trainer if we feel its better suited. You wont be left feeling unsupported, we are there for you throughout the journey. Our number 1 priority is always safety, we do not want to place your dog under any undue stress and will work with you to achieve the desired outcome.
